54what I would not spend money on.
Many years ago my wife and I used to watch a program called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was a reality show where a host named Robin Leach, traveled around the world visiting millionaires and billionaires
He would follow these people around their homes with a camera crew showing the t.v. audience how well the other half lived. I wondered did he really believe half the world's population were rich? Anyway it always amazed me on some of the stuff some wealthy.people spent their money on.
For example one man had 60 limousines. You can only drive them one at a time. I could see two in case one is in the shop but 60? In fact he had an employee that stole several of his cars before he noticed any were missing.
Another man went to a restaurant where they served a dish that was gold plated. Yes the food had a thin glaze of gold, the metal on it. Who would want to eat that? Speaking of eating why do wealthy people eat Snail's. Yeech. That is something you choke down in desperation while stranded in the forest starving with a broken spine.
Eval Kneavel once boosted of traveling with two lear jets. His name was on both planes in big bold letters. He would take both jets so he could look out the window and see his name while flying. What a waste of money.
I can't understand the mentality of wasting so much money on such foolishness. I had a superviser who bragged to us employees about buying a 25000 watch for his birthday. He was talking to people who didn't earn 25,000 all year. I thought that was very insensitive of him.
The only reason to buy a 25,000 watch is to show others how much better you are than them.
Don't get me wrong. Many of these people spent a lot of money helping others through charities and foundations. Being wealthy does not make you a better or worse person. If I were wealthy I would live a lot better than I do. I'd have a nicer house, several newer cars and eat at better restaurants but I would not eat Snails, own 60 or even 30 cars and my watch would cost 100 tops.
